A Note From the Editor...
Welcome to the first issue of 2023! I'll be trying to post an issue every month this year continuously. It will release towards the end of each month after the last Wednesday update releases unless Wednesday is the last day of the month, then it'll release the beginning of the following month. This year we're introducing the Jorvegian Recipes Column, and the Jorvik Fashion Column. Soon I hope to add in a Jorvegian DIY section, which will include fun DIY ideas to add a little of Jorvik to your world. Without further ado, let's get into this month's issue!
Horses of Jorvik
Horses of Jorvik is back for 2023. This month's race is located at the Jorvik Stables Arena. In case you don't know what Horses of Jorvik is, Guillermo and the Horses Of Jorvik Organization (HoJ) host special breed specific races. This month it is a Show Jumping Race for the Jorvik Warmblood,, Trakehner, and Belgian Warmblood. You'll get 500 xp, so be sure to add this race to your training routine if you're training one of the featured breeds!
The race will be here until February 8th.
Sale on Horses!
The Jorvik Warmblood and Trakehner have a 20% sale until February 8th, both costing just 590 SC each!
You'll find both horses temporarily at the Horse Market until February 8th. You'll also find them at their normal locations, the Jorvik Warmblood in Crescent Moon Village and Paddock Island, and the Trakehner at Silverglade Manor and Goldenleaf Stables!
6 New Coat Variations
6 new coat variations have been added to the game: Two new American Paint Horses, found at Starshine Ranch for 850 SC; two new Tennessee Walking Horses, found at Starshine Ranch for 950 SC; one new Belgian Warmblood, found at Silverglade Equestrian Center for 850 SC; and one new Finnhorse, found at Firgrove for 850 SC.
Story Snacks - Caring for the Life Warden sapling.
A new mini-quest, or Story Snack, has been added to help care for the Life Warden Sapling. You'll need to be a Star Rider and have finished current main quests to do the story snacks. You'll continue these mini quests for the next few weeks.
Rearranging Horses...
Three Generation 2 Morgans, two in Firgrove & one in Crescent Moon Village, have been moved to the Horse Market.
One Generation 2 Arabian in Firgrove has moved to Paddock Island.
The Jorvik Gazette
Head to Jarlaheim to help Imane Highcantle and her trusty mare Sahara with the first edition of the Jorvik Gazette! You'll ride around Jarlaheim interviewing people and possibly learn some pretty cool facts. The coolest part is you'll decide which stories are going to be published. The quest line takes two days as there is a time block in the middle. You'll get fun daily quests afterwards that will be worth adding to your daily questing routine!
You'll need to have unlocked Epona and have opened the gates towards Crescent Moon Village and New Hillcrest to do the quest.
